She is also experienced in using facial injections for their general medical indications: hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), chronic migraine and bruxism (teeth-grinding).
Tracey is a proud member of the Allergan Medical Institute and trains other doctors in the correct use of facial injections and dermal fillers on behalf of Allergan. She regularly attends AMI meetings and live training workshops with expert international injectors.

In her spare time Tracey is a keen runner and is open to all things outdoor and adventurous. She is also a dedicated mom to a gorgeous little boy and almost as gorgeous husband, Brett.
Aesthetic treatments should not radically change, distort or 'freeze' the face. A modern day approach is to treat the face as a whole, gently restoring youthful volume and lift, and relaxing over-active facial muscles to subtly erase frown lines, crow's feet and lines around the mouth.
The face should appear natural, radiant and should still have expression and movement.
Facial injections should be placed with the utmost care and knowledge of the anatomy of each muscle, gently restoring a fresh, open and youthful face.
Dr. Garner's aim is to treat volume loss at its origin, using the correct and best dermal filler for the job – whether this is in the cheeks, nasolabial folds, around the mouth, jawline or temples.
TThe texture of the skin should also be addressed to improve the overall appearance of the face. In order to accommodate this, medically active skin ranges from Neostrata®, Heliocare® and Skinceuticals® are used. Dr. Garner also recommends chemical peels and Dermapen for ideal skin rejuvenation. Using these modalities skin concerns such as fine lines, general ageing, acne, scarring and pigmentation can safely and effectively be addressed.
It is injected relatively superficially in minute non-toxic quantities and helps to relax muscles for 4 to 6 months. It also blocks the action of sweat glands, which is why it is useful for treating excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis).
These injections are useful for reducing horizontal and vertical frown lines, as well as 'crow's feet' around the eyes, 'bunny lines' at the top of the nose and lines around the mouth (peri-oral lines).
Theyare also useful for lifting the brow, thereby opening the eyes and giving a fresher, younger look and may be used to prevent the corners of the mouth from sagging as you age, to reduce a gummy smile, lift the tip of the nose, reduce nasal flaring, treat muscular lines in the neck (platysmal bands), reduce irregular dimpling of the chin and correct asymmetrical facial movement.
Medical treatments include the treatment of bruxism (teeth-grinding), chronic migraines and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating under the arms and on the hands).
Dermal Fillers The Juvederm® range of dermal fillers used in the practice all contain highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid. This is a smooth gel which is a synthetic form of natural molecules found in your body. It produces a natural, predictable and long-lasting result. The effect is registered to last for 1 to 2 years, depending on which filler in the range is used. The effect can be reversed easily with an injection should this be necessary.
It is a relatively painless procedure as the product contains a local anaesthetic and the most common side effects are swelling and bruising, which can be minimised by correct product choice and placement and careful planning.
Dermal Fillers are used to fill lines in the forehead, around the eyes, mouth, nose and to fill the lips. They are used to restore a youthful volume and lift to the cheeks, as well as reducing the jowels and enhancing the chin, eyebrows and nose.
Chemical peels Neostrata®, Skinceuticals and Easy TCA peels are performed by therapists under the supervision of a doctor as they contain medically active glycolic acid. Peels are useful for improving the texture and quality of the skin as well as reducing acne scarring and pigmentation. There is minimal to no down-time as the strength of the peel is gradually stepped up, generally resulting in mild redness and peeling of the skin.
Dermapen® is a medical skin micro-needling device that assists in skin rejuventation, scarring and pigmentation by stimulating your skin’s own collagen and growth factors. 2 to 3 treatments a year will keep your skin healthy and glowing!
Do not touch the area, lie down, do exercise, put on make-up or drink alcohol for 6 hours after any facial injections. Wear factor 50 sunscreen for at least 5 days after a peel. Sunscreen should be a part of your daily routine as sun damage is the single biggest contributor to aging.
The practice stocks Neostrata®, Heliocare®, Skinceuticals® and Xxtralash. These products are all medically active, scientifically researched and provide a broad range of options to tailor a skincare regimen that will suit your lifestyle, pocket and skin concerns. Please chat to Dr. Garner or our skilled therapists about the best product options for your skin.
